Recording is a standard and integral part of the Services provided by Konnekt Kid. Before a Parent purchases the Services, Konnekt Kid informs the Parent that Tutoring Sessions are recorded and provides access to the Terms and Conditions and this Privacy Policy. Participants are also notified through the online meeting platform before each recorded Tutoring Session begins. Because recording supports safeguarding, quality assurance, Tutor training, service improvement, and dispute resolution, Konnekt Kid generally cannot provide the Services without recording Tutoring Sessions. A Parent who has questions or concerns regarding lesson recordings is encouraged to contact the Support Team before purchasing or participating in the Services.
Tutoring Session recordings may be used for the following purposes:

- investigating and resolving complaints or disputes;
- investigating suspected breaches of the Terms and Conditions or other applicable policies;
- complying with legal or regulatory obligations; and
- any other purpose permitted or required by applicable law.
Tutoring Session recordings are ordinarily retained for seven (7) days, after which they are securely deleted.
A recording may be retained for a longer period where reasonably necessary in connection with:
- an active complaint or dispute;
- a safeguarding concern;
- an internal or external investigation;
- a legal or regulatory obligation; or
- any other circumstance where continued retention is permitted or required by applicable law.

This generally includes a Student’s first name, age, English language level, educational information relevant to the Tutoring Sessions, and information voluntarily shared during the Tutoring Sessions. Tutors do not have access to Parent contact information, Students’ last names, billing information, or other personal information that is not required to provide the Services.
- employees, contractors, and authorized personnel who require access to perform their responsibilities;
- payment providers and financial institutions involved in processing transactions;
- providers of online meeting platforms, booking systems, Student Portal services, cloud storage, email, website hosting, analytics, information technology, and other technology services that support the operation of the Services;
- professional advisers, including legal, accounting, insurance, and other professional advisers;
- law enforcement agencies, regulatory authorities, courts, or other public authorities where disclosure is permitted or required by applicable law;
- a successor organization in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards; and
